Rubens Table d'Hote Menu

In Rubens Restaurant we have our 3 course menu, served daily for only £21.50 per person. This menu changes on a daily basis and you order at the table with one of our team.

There is always 3 choices for all courses, along with a single Vegetarian Main Course and our Salad Bar too. The list below is to give you an idea of what you can expect when you come to stay with us.

A children’s menu is available for young ones up to 12 years of age.

Starters

  • Homemade Soup served with freshly baked bread roll
  • Flaky Pastry Nest filled with a creamy stilton, mushroom and smoked bacon sauce 
  • Panache of Fruit bound in a peach puree with winter berries and port compote with pearls of raspberry sorbet
  • Pork and Beef Meatballs with a spicy tomato and basil sauce
  • Chicken Tikka Masala with braised rice and naan bread
  • Mexican Style chilli Con Carne with rice, tortilla chips and sour cream
  • Cocktail of Greenland Prawn, cherry tomatoes, cucumber pearls with Marie Rose sauce
  • Cherry Tomato Bruschetta, sweet tomatoes, shallots on toasted focaccia, drizzled with balsamic reduction
  • Thai Style Cod Goujons served with crisp side salad

Mains

  • Traditional Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding and horseradish cream
  • Traditional Roast Turkey with pigs in blankets and cranberry stuffing
  • Herb Roast Supreme of Chicken, wrapped in streaky smoked bacon
  • Roast Loin of Pork with cracking and apple sauce
  • Braised Minted Leg of Lamb steak with minted pear puree, rich lamb jus and roasted shallots
  • Baked Fillet of Salmon presented on a pool of prawn and cucumber sauce
  • Steamed Fillet of Cod on a pool of creamy seafood sauce
  • Spinach, Cranberry and Mushroom Wellington with a tomato and basil sauce
  • Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni with garlic bread
  • Vegetable lasagne Verdi served with baked garlic bread

  • Christmas Pudding with brandy cream sauce
